  1. Benghazi questions asked and answered

In response to The Sun editorial claiming that "Benghazi deserves a real review," (May 10), all I can say is, no, it does not! What we need to do is stop the political charade concerning this issue.

  3. Benghazi is worse than Watergate, and Obama should resign

In comparing the Watergate cover-up to the Benghazi cover-up, the crimes involved are completely different but still crimes ("Benghazi deserves real review," May 9). The purpose for the cover-ups, though, was the same: to re-elect the president. Nobody died at Watergate. Four Americans died at Benghazi. As yet no survivors of Benghazi have been interviewed, to my knowledge. If they have, why shouldn't the American people have a right to know what was divulged? The president during Watergate resigned, the president during Benghazi should certainly do the same.

  5. Obama's 'Katrina moment'

It has been a rough week or so for the Obama administration. From Benghazi to the tapping of reporters' phones to the IRS admitting that it targeted conservative groups for extra scrutiny, the press is in a frenzy, and many are questioning President Barack Obama's future. If the president does not soon regain control of the narrative, he is likely to suffer the same fate as his predecessor — a collapse in public confidence and a vastly diminished second term. To understand President Obama's situation, we need to explore a little presidential theory and some recent presidential history.

  7. Scandals put presidential credibility on the line

When the storm of administration scandals first hit President Barack Obama, he offered a good impersonation of Claude Raines in "Casablanca," expressing shock that gambling was going on in Rick's saloon. His verbal outrage at the snooping of the IRS and his Justice Department was intense, but not very reassuring.

  9. The Sun's Benghazi editorial is laughable

I am sitting here open-mouthed at your editorial regarding the Benghazi hearings ("Benghazi deserves a real review," May 9). Maybe you should let one of your staff actually watch them before making fools of yourselves.

  11. Republicans' fake outrage over Benghazi

Republicans like Rep. Darrell Issa and Bob Ehrlich must be getting pretty desperate trying to make a big deal about an Obama cover up on Benghazi ("Benghazi: The Obama spin continues," May 12). What is known is that a murderous crowd attacked the U.S. consulate and killed our ambassador and three other Americans. Whether there may have been al-Qaida thugs in the crowd or not appears to be a distinction without meaning.

  13. Obama's scandal-filled term

While Joe Biden may benefit from the less than diplomatic handling of the Benghazi tragedy by Hillary Clinton, possibly making him the front runner for the Democratic nominee for president in 2016 ("Could Biden benefit from Clinton's handling of Benghazi?" May 14), the main winner is the Republican Party. The Benghazi gaffe by all concerned, including President Barack Obama, Ms. Clinton and Susan Rice, has scandalized the American public.

  15. Cummings a disgrace in Benghazi hearings

The other day I sat down to watch some of the coverage of the Benghazi hearings and almost spit out my drink in utter dismay at the ignorance and incompetence of Rep. Elijah Cummings ("U.S. diplomat details attack in Benghazi," May 9). Now, mind you this is the big bad congressman who was mad as heck and tried to convict baseball stars of perjury for lying to Congress under oath on an issue many Americans could care less about — steroid doping. In the Benghazi hearings, he could care less about the whistle blowers and suggesting death was a part of life. He viewed this whole incident in which four Americans died, as a witch hunt.

  17. Breathless over Benghazi: Republicans can't help overplaying their hand

Republicans could make an easy hit on the Obama administration by highlighting the State Department's apparent bureaucratic blundering during and after the deadly terrorist attack on the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya, last fall, but they refuse to settle for such a small political prize. Instead, they have got themselves all steamed up and snarling about heinous, impeachable offenses that are figments of their imaginations.

  19. Could Biden benefit from scrutiny of Hillary Clinton's handling of Benghazi?

If former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton hoped she could segue quietly into private life as she pondered a presidential bid in 2016, that fantasy has been abruptly harpooned in the resurrection of the political squabble over the terrorist attack on the American consulate in Benghazi.

  21. Several Benghazi questions unanswered

The Benghazi hearings may be a political play by the GOP but no more so than the blockage of information by the Obama administration in September and October right before the election ("Benghazi deserves real review," May 10).
