  5. Michelle Ann Thoele and Jonathan Patrick Mahoney

    Michelle Ann Thoele, daughter of Anna Istas and Michael Snook of Topeka, Kansas, and Jonathan Patrick Mahoney, son of James and Georgia Mahoney of Newport Beach, California were married on September 9th, 2011 in Topeka, Kansas.  Mrs. Mahoney is a graduate of the American University in Paris and Washburn University.  She is a research assistant at Kansas State University Early Childhood Labratory.  Dr. Mahoney is a graduate of Newport Harbor High School and received his Ph.D. from SUNY Binghamton, NY.  He is an associate professor of philosophy at Kansas State University and also teaches at  Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey.  He was a 2011 Fulbright Scholar to the University of Central Asia in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Dr. and Mrs. Mahoney make their home in Manhattan, Kansas.
