Standing ovations for Glenelg Jazz Ensemble during European tour [Glenwood/Glenelg/Dayton]

The Glenelg Jazz Ensemble had the experience of a lifetime in Europe, according to Dayton resident Betsy Brown, who accompanied the group as a chaperone.  The students, under the direction of Barry Enzman, were invited to perform six concerts at five different jazz festivals around the continent.  Standing ovations ended every performance except the one at Juan les Pins, France, which was cut short by a thunderstorm.  Between concerts the students and chaperones toured towns throughout Germany, France and Switzerland.  While they were in Freiburg, Germany, the students stayed with host families from the Freiburger Schüler Jazzorchester.   During the...
