Michael A. Case, 62, of Danville, passed away Friday, July 26.
Born Sept. 11, 1950, in Lexington, Michael was a son of the late James W. and Cecile Abbott Case. He was a member of Willow Grove Baptist Church and co-owner of K. C.’s Gymnastics in Danville. He also was a physical education teacher at Hustonville Elementary for many years where he had a great impact on many children’s lives. Michael was an avid University of Kentucky athletics fan, loved coaching gymnastics, hunting, fishing, archery and just about anything outdoors.
Survivors include his loving wife of over 42 years, Kathy Case; one son, Benjamin James (Kimberly) Case of Boyle County; one daughter, Kristi (Kurt) Landversicht of Jessamine County; one brother, Robert Lee (Carol) Case of Fayette County; five grandchildren, Kadin Daddy, Gunner Case, Jalynn Landversicht, Kylie Landversicht and Emma Kate Landversicht; and many other family and friends.
Funeral services were July 30 at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home with Bro. Brad King officiating. Cremation rites were honored. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the ALS Association Kentucky Chapter designated to “Team Hardcore Case” which is a team of family and friends who are raising money in Michael’s honor to help cure this terrible disease.
