Mary Ethel Eikelberger, 89, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at a local health care facility.
She was born Dec. 8, 1922, in Quicksberg, Va., to the late Charles E. and Elsie D. Litten.
She was a dental assistant for 20 years and retired as a department supervisor for London Fog after 10 years of service.
Her husband, Robert M. Eikelberger, and daughter, Mary Ann Melton, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Kandi M. (Rick) Hutton; grandson, Duane A. Melton; great-granddaughters, Tiffany N. Hutton and Amber V. Melton; and son-in-law, Larry J. Melton, all of Chattanooga; several brothers and sisters, all of the Hagerstown, Md. area; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Tyner United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chris Dover and the Rev. Jacob Reedy officiating. Burial will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 4 to 8 p.m. at East Brainerd Chapel.
