Born Oct. 2, 1939, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the Rev. Charles R. Douglas and Dorothy R. Douglas.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Connie Carbaugh Douglas.
Marvin retired from East Alcoa in Frederick, Md., after 29 years of service.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Schill Douglas, whom he married Feb. 14, 2006; a daughter, Stacy and husband, Todd, of Clear Spring, Md.; a son, Bryan and wife, Deanna, of Hagerstown; a brother, Curt and wife, Judy, of Baltimore, Md.; a grandson, Carter Slaysman; a granddaughter, Lauren Douglas; an aunt, Margaret Gayhart of Ranson, W.Va.; and an uncle, Charles Watson of Hagerstown.
He was preceded in death by a son, Brent Douglas; and a brother, Dennis Douglas.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Paul A. Harne and the Rev. Shawn Bushman will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Walk Cemetery in Myersville, Md.
The family will receive friends Thursday at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m.
