Lisa M. (Platt-Breeden) Wood, age 48, of Spring Church, Pa., formerly of Penn Hills, Pa., and Hagerstown, Md., died Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, of an extended illness.
She was the loving daughter of James A. and Lorraine A. (Deer) Wood of Kiski Township, Pa.; beloved sister of Sharon L. (Anthony P.) Ventrice of Plum, Pa., and the late Alex J. Wood; cherished mother of Nicole M. (Michael) Platt of Greencastle, Pa., and Kenneth A. (Becky) Platt Jr. of Hagerstown. The loves of her life, her heart, were grandchildren Jordan, Bailey, Kayla, Tyson, Kaylee and Dyllon. She was the favorite aunt of Kristen M. (Brian) Omlor, Melanie L. Ventrice and Alexis M. Wood. She is also survived by her grandmother, Aurora Rodriguez, and many aunts and uncles.
Lisa celebrated her life to the fullest. She wasn't just the life of the party; she was the party. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Soxman Funeral Homes, Ltd./Roth Chapel, 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road) Penn Hills, where a service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. Entombment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Penn Hills.
