Hagerstown Lions Club meets Tuesday

Stu Mullendore of HDP Inc., will be the speaker at Tuesday’s meeting of the Hagerstown Lions Club.

Cookie Walk

There will be a cookie walk at First Christian Church, 1345 Potomac Ave., Hagerstown, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

The event is sponsored by Global Outreach and all proceeds will benefit the Community Free Clinic. Cookies cost $3.50 per dozen.



Organ concert

An organ concert of Christmas music performed by members of the Cumberland Valley Chapter, American Guild of Organists, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 141 S. Potomac St., Hagerstown. Everyone is welcome.



Bonus Books

North Hagerstown Lions Club is selling Bonus Books, valid through Dec. 1, 2012, with hundreds of coupons for the Tri-State area.

Coupons are for discounts, or buy-one-get-one offers. Coupons include casual and fast-food dining; recreation, travel, lodging; and other businesses. The cost is $32.

Coats For kids

For the 25th year, the North Hagerstown Lions Club is collecting coats for kids.

Drop boxes for coats are near Sears at Valley Mall, Richards World Travel on Potomac Avenue, and Always Ron’s on Burhans Boulevard. The boxes will be at these sites through Jan 9.

Items are being accepted for all ages, from newborn to adult. Coats will be given to two Washington County nonprofit agencies, Children in Need and The Parent-Child Center.
