Curtiss Lee Taylor Sr., 59, of Falling Waters, W.Va., passed away on Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born July 4, 1953, in Hagerstown, Md., to the late Charles Lester Sr. and Ruth R. Rickard Taylor.
He was employed by Maryland Correctional Training Center as a correctional officer until retiring in 1999. He was currently employed for Allied Waste in Hagerstown.
He was a regular at bingo at the Clear Spring Fire Co. and going to the shooting matches at the Western Maryland Sportsman's Club and Potomac Fish & Game Club.
Survivors include: Wife, Carol Lee McGinley Taylor married for 35 years of Falling Waters; daughter, Jennifer D. Nichols and her husband Jamie of Williamsport; son, Curtiss L. Taylor Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Jarrettsville, Md.; granddaughter, Blythe; grandsons, Alex, Gavin and Cooper; sister, Cheryl Hott of Hagerstown; sister, Charlotte Cline of Hagerstown; sister, Crystal Taylor of Hagerstown; brother, Carroll Taylor Sr. of Falling Waters.
He was predeceased by a brother, Charles L. Taylor Jr.
Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport on Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ernest E. Witmer officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. The funeral home will be open after 9 a.m. on Friday for the convenience of family and friends.
