Camille Heim, a second-year pharmacy student, recently received The West Virginia University School of Pharmacy Annual Achievement Scholarship at the school’s Scholarships and Awards Convocation.
This school year, she and several classmates did their service learning project at Milan Puskar’s Health Right, a primary care clinic that provides health care at no cost to uninsured or underinsured low-income residents of North Central West Virginia.
The project’s focus was to educate clinic patients on the importance of taking medications as directed.
Heim was elected president of the WVU student chapter of National Community Pharmacists Association for the 2013-14 school year.
She continues to work for CVS in Morgantown through an internship.
Heim is a 2009 graduate of Boonsboro High School.
She is the daughter of Ed and Janet Heim of Hagerstown.
