Annie Virginia (Boppe) McLucas, 94, formerly of Welsh Run, Pa., died at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at the Falling Spring Nursing And Rehabilitation Center in Chambersburg, Pa., where she had been a resident for more than two years.
Born April 6, 1918, in Washington County, Md., near Huyetts, she was the daughter of the late Martin L. and Amelia Virginia (Jacobs) Boppe.
Hagerstown, for nine years and last worked at the former Stanley Co., Chambersburg, for 33 1/2 years.
She and her husband, Russell Leroy "Dude" McLucas, were married Dec. 24, 1941. He died July 10, 2003.
Annie was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mercersburg.
She enjoyed gardening and being a homemaker.
Surviving family are one daughter, Bertha R. (Mrs. Kenneth) Faith, Clear Spring, Md.; one sister, Pearl Rowe, resident of Fahrney-Keedy Home & Village, Boonsboro, Md.; one grandson, Ronald (wife, Sarah) Faith, Clear Spring; one granddaughter, Katrina Faith, Clear Spring; and four great-grandchildren, Naomi, Joshua, Keyana and Karyssa.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Weist and Lula Murphy; and two brothers, David Boppe and Marty Boppe.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Oct. 3, at 10 a.m. from Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, Pa., with her grandson, Pastor Ronald Faith, officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Tabor Lutheran Church Cemetery, Fairview, Md.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
