Conditions ideal for Leukemia Cup

The powerful weather system that spawned tornadoes across the region on Friday left behind virtually ideal weather for the 20th annual Annapolis Leukemia Cup, sailed out of Eastport and Annapolis Yacht Clubs on Saturday.

The 77 starters were split into two fleets, with AYC handling the big boats of PHRF A and B, the J/105s, J/35s, and J/30s, and EYC managing the Alerion Express 28s, Cal 25s, multihulls, PHRF C and N, and the cruisers of the Leukemia Class.
