  17. Review: 'The Sweeney' goes on an old-school cops and robbers ride

Don't look for "The Sweeney" to win any awards. It's not going to, not even close. But that doesn't stop it from being a briskly involving British crime entertainment of the old school. You've seen the type, and more than once, but the genre still has enough juice to take us for a ride.

  23. Should Plan B be available without a prescription?

A federal judge overturned the Obama administration’s ban on teenagers purchasing emergency contraception without a prescription. Judge Korman called the ban “politically motivated, scientifically unjustified and contrary to agency precedent.” No serious health risks have been associated with the drug’s use among adults and children, the judge said. The FDA first approved Plan B as a prescription emergency contraceptive in 1999. In 2011, the FDA was about to let the morning-after pill be available to all women when Health and Human Secretary Kathleen Sebelius instituted the ban. Who’s right on this?
