1. Before Baltimore Grand Prix, Pumpelly readies for Le Mans

When Spencer Pumpelly lived in Baltimore, he always thought the downtown streets would make a good racing track.

3. Restaurant review: A surprisingly delicious dinner at Club Charles

If you've never heard that Club Charles serves food, you're not alone. It's hard to imagine that a bar known for being a hangout of the tragically hip would do something as normal as serve food. But Club Charles does, and it's good.

5. Restaurant review: Tasty vegan fare in The Land of Kush

It's tough being a vegan at most Baltimore restaurants. Often, you're relegated to a one- or two-item corner of the menu.
It's tough being a vegan at most Baltimore restaurants. Often, you're relegated to a one- or two-item corner of the menu. Gregory Brown opened The Land of Kush at 840 N. Eutaw St., because, a vegan himself, he wanted a place where his culinary...

9. Monday morning quartberbacking -- Great Sage

Dining@Large
This was a tricky one. I had to decide whether to review Great Sage as a restaurant or as a vegan restaurant. If I ended up somewhere in between, it's because Great Sage does a good job of not being......

11. The Land of Kush reviewed

Dining@Large
John Lindner reviews the Land of Kush, a new vegan restaurant in Seton Hill, close to the State Office Building complex. He found a lot of vegan food that had the look and feel of meat. I know some vegans......

13. Restaurant Review: At Great Sage, an appeal to all tastes

There are vegans, and there are vegetarians. And then there are those of us who dine out with vegetarian and vegan friends, who have been entertained by inspired vegetarian chefs (and lousy ones, too), and who are generally open to the idea of an occasional meatless or dairy-less meal. We might even have briefly considered the a vegetarian lifestyle. Great Sage, the all-vegan restaurant in Clarksville, keeps us all in their thoughts.

15. Lunch review: One World Cafe is refreshingly reliable

From the outside, One World Cafe looks like it could be a small coffee joint housed in a one-story addition to a much taller brick building on the cusp of the Johns Hopkins' Homewood campus. In fact, if you walk past the few tables up front and the full service bar, you'll find it has a largish dining room with seating to accommodate, by my rough guesstimate, easily 40 to 50 diners. Its interior is not the only way the cafe offers more than meets the eye.

17. New vegan cafe opens Sunday

Dining@Large
Are vegans getting a little more love around Baltimore or is that my imagination? I keep hearing about vegan bakeries and places that are offering more vegan choices on their menus. Now Emily Mainquist tells me she's opening Baltimore's first......

19. Why I don't give dinner parties anymore

Dining@Large
Once again guest poster John Lindner has come up with a subject I wish I had thought of first. Times have really changed. My solution? I don't give dinner parties anymore. Here's John. ELDo you host dinner parties? If so,......

23. The best faux meatballs in the country

Dining@Large
I've done a lot of exciting Top 10 lists on this blog, but none quite as exciting as PETA's Top 10 Vegan Meatballs. Normally I would continue to make fun of them (and me) except, hey, one of Baltimore's restaurants......
