The Greater Middletown Chorale welcomes Nancy E. Kelly as its new managing director joining Artistic Director Joseph D'Eugenio as staff for the local choral group. Building on her twenty plus years of experience in corporate management, finance, marketing and philanthropy in on both coasts, Ms Kelly will build on the Chorale's recent growth and musical explorations resulting from its recent production of Letter from Italy, 1944. As she tackles the details of the Chorale, she will also continue her position as Business Manager of the New Haven Ballet.
"We are excited at the energy and experience Nancy brings to our growing organization", says Lorie Martin, Chorale board president. "She will help us execute in continuing as a positive force for both the area's arts community and for the Chorale. Board members and singers alike are delighted with the fantastic work Nancy is already doing", Martin continues. As the Chorale's documentary from the recent 'Letter from Italy, 1944 - An American Oratorio' nears completion, it will be Nancy who acts as the prime mover for the film's distribution and marketing", Martin concludes.
Middletown High School, 200 La Rosa Lane. Artistic Director Joseph D'Eugenio will conduct the ensemble and chamber orchestra with Allan Conway accompanying.

"By taking advantage of a recent grant from the Community Foundation of Middlesex County, the Chorale is able to bring me on board and build on all the recent excitement and momentum. My coming on board is a loud statement about moving all aspects of the Chorale to the next level. The support of the board, the members and Joe has been amazing with so many people jumping in not only in wonderful voice, but in so many ways that will insure the Chorale get to that next level."
The Greater Middletown Chorale, with a current membership of about 65 singers, is an auditioned symphonic chorus committed to excellence in singing while preparing and performing choral masterworks and other outstanding choral music for all generations of listeners. While it is based in Middletown, Connecticut, many of its members travel from far outside Middlesex County to participate.
