We welcome a new business to the neighborhood on Monday, March 10 at 12 p.m., when Anytime Fitness' Personal Trainer and Fitness Coach Matt Alaimo offers a Weight Loss and Nutrition seminar. Matt will teach you how to burn more calories than you consume and how to calculate and count calories for your favorite foods.

Local resident Will Maynard leads a talk on Electronics Prototyping Using Arduino on Tuesday, March 18 at 6:30 p.m. Learn about this exciting new technology, an open-source electronics prototyping platform based on flexible, easy-to-use hardware and software. Will plans to share his experiences and show some hardware components; his ultimate goal is to start an Arduino Users Group to work on projects and ideas here at the library.
Pysanka is a Ukrainian Easter egg, created by using the written-wax batik method. Learn about this folk art form and create your own beautiful egg on Saturday, March 22 at 10 a.m. during Sharon Leonard's Pysanka Egg Workshop. All materials (including eggs) will be provided. Learn to make fun and colorful beads at our Polymer Clay Bead-Making Workshop with Laurie Lynne on Wednesday, March 26 at 6:30 p.m. The beads will be baked during the class so you will go home with a finished product! Class size is very limited, so reserve your spot now.

Our movies for the month will be "Gravity" (rated PG-13) starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock, on Wednesday, March 5 at 6:30 p.m. and Thursday, March 6 at 1 p.m.; "Nebraska" (rated R) starring Bruce Dern, on Tuesday, March 11 at 6:30pm and Thursday, March 13 at 1 p.m.; and 12 "Years a Slave" (rated R) starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, on Wednesday, March 19 at 6:30 p.m. and Thursday, March 20 at 1 p.m. All films are free and popcorn will be served! Pre-registration is not required for movies.
