The awards ceremony for Community Renewal Team’s 22nd annual National Arts Program — a competition involving 300 works of visual art from youths in Hartford and Middlesex counties — will be Saturday, Jan. 26 at 1 p.m. at Capital Community College, 950 Main St. in Hartford. Admission is free.
The artworks will be on the walls at the Dr. Conrad Mallett Art Galleries on campus until Feb. 5. Gallery hours are weekdays 1 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Judges include Janice La Motta of Charter Oak Cultural Center; fiber artist Ed Johnetta Miller; Bauer; artist Andres Chaparro, who also is manager in the City of Hartford Cultural Affairs Office; and Jackie Coleman of Hartford Public Schools.
