2003

*September: Enrolls at Libbey High in his hometown of Toledo, Ohio, starts as a freshman. He is named All-City as a sophomore, averaging more than 19 points in 2004-05.

2005

*April: Says he's leaving Libbey and will enroll at Oak Hill Academy in Virginia and will attend summer classes. At around the same time, he makes oral commitment to attend Xavier and Sean Patterson, a Miles' former AAU coach, becomes Nate's legal guardian.

*August: Leaves Oak Hill, returns to Toledo. *September: Enrolls back at Libbey High. Suspended after an incident at a school dance and becomes ineligible to play the first half of the season because of time lost to the suspension. Transfers across town to Waite High.

2006

*January: Is unable to get his academics in order in time for the season's second half at Waite. Makes the move to Cornerstone Christian in San Antonio to finish the school year.

*September: Begins school year playing for Cornerstone Christian.

*Oct. 12: Miles' name appears in The Courant for first time as a junior that UConn is looking at.

*Nov. 11: Miles is introduced by then-UConn assistant Tom Moore to agent Josh Nochimson, a UConn graduate, at a high school prep tournament in Deerfield, Ill. Miles was playing for Cornerstone and Moore, according to Yahoo! Sports had told Nochimson that UConn had interest in Miles.

*Nov. 19: Miles makes an oral commitment to UConn during an unofficial visit.

*December: According to Yahoo!, Moore made contact with Miles or close relations 30 times during the month. The NCAA allows one such contact per month to a recruit during their junior season.

*Dec. 22: Moore makes 18 calls that involve trying to find Miles a new prep school, according to Yahoo! The majority of the calls are to Nochimson, but in the records obtained by Yahoo!, one 21-minute call to Miles is recorded.

2007

*January: After playing much of the season for Cornerstone, Miles had interest in transferring to Christian Life in San Antonio. He works out with the team, but never enrolls.

*Feb. 25: Attends UConn-Louisville game. Tells The Courant he has enrolled at Notre Dame Prep in Fitchburg, Mass. Says he remains on schedule to graduate in June 2008.

*July 26: The former coach at Notre Dame Prep, Bill Barton, tells the New Haven Register Miles never enrolled. "Honestly, I haven't seen the kid in months," he said.

*Aug. 10-11: Miles attends Jim Calhoun's elite basketball camp in Storrs and says he will attend The Patterson School in Lenoir, N.C., to finish up high school and hopes to be enrolled at UConn in December.

*Dec. 11: Miles is removed from The Patterson School team for unknown reasons.
