The cast from the Broadway production of "Mary Poppins"

The touring company of the musical "Mary Poppins," which opened on Broadway in 2006, will open the 2012-13 Broadway series at the Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts in Hartford.
The show will play for a one and a half week run, Sept. 14 to 23.
The musical, based on stories by P. L. Travers, has a book by Julian Fellowes; with music and lyrics from the 1964 Disney film by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman.
The Broadway production was directed by Richard Eyre; with Matthew Bourne; as co-directer and choreographer. Additional music and lyrics are by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, who composed the songs for Goodspeed Musicals' "Just So" when it played the Norma Terris Theatre in Chester.
Ashley Brown and Gavin Lee starred in the Broadway production.
The rest of the seven-show Bushnell series is expected to be announced next Tuesday.
"Mary Popins" is a joint production between producer Cameron Mackintosh and Disney Theatrical Productions.
