The touring company of "Jersey Boys" will open the 2012-13 Broadway series at the Shubert Theater in New Haven.
The show, which had a "dry run" of its initial tour several years ago at the Shubert, returns to the theater for a two-week engagement in New Haven, the first time in years the theater hosted a multi-week booking
The show will run Sept. 25 to Oct. 7.
Following for weekend runs are "Shrek" slated for Dec. 28 to 30 and "The Addams Family" Feb. 1 to 3, 2013 Blue Man Group plays March 14 to 17, 2013. (Blue Man Group plays Waterbury's Palace Theater this May.)
"Les Miserables," which had a near sell-out at Hartford's Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts earlier this month, will play the Shubert for an eight performance run April 17 to 21, 2013.
"American Idiot," featuring rock music by Green Day, runs May 3 to 5. (The show will also play the Bushnell Feb. 26 to March 3.)
"West Side Story" follows May 31 to June 2, 2013.
Subscriptions are now on sale. Single tickets for "Jersey Boys" goes on sale May 13. Single tickets for the other shows will go on sale later this year.
