Geoffrey Paul, one of the owners of the Griswold Inn in Essex, which has a huge collection of maritime art, will be at the Essex Library, 33 West Ave., on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m. to talk about art collecting.
Items from his collection are on loan or in the collections of the Connecticut Historical Society, Connecticut River Museum, Florence Griswold Museum, Gracie Mansion, Historic Deerfield Museum, New Haven Colony Historical Society, Peabody-Essex Museum, Winterthur and other galleries.
