·         The Falcons (41-20-5-4, 91 pts.) have clinched the Northeast Division title, and are only two points behind the AHL-leading Providence Bruins in the Eastern Conference.
·         This game finishes the 12-game I-91 rivalry series between the Whale and Falcons.  Connecticut is 5-6-0-0 thus far in the series, 2-3-0-0 in Springfield.
·         Former Whale defenseman Blake Parlett, who was acquired by Columbus from the New York Rangers last week in the Marian Gaborik trade, scored the power-play game-winner for Springfield in Sunday’s 4-2 win in Portland and has at least a point in all three games he has played since joining the Falcons (1-2-3).
