Gordon Edelstein, artistic director at the theater, stages the show with music by Jason Robert Brown.
The show is a deconstruction of a love affair and marriage over a five year period, from two different perspectives. Jamie, an emerging Jewish novelist tells his story from the start of the affair and moves forward to the end of their marriage. Cathy, a “shiska goddess” and struggling actor, tells the story from the end of the marriage and moves backwards in time to the beginning of their affair.
Halpin was in Broadway's “Glory Days,” off-Broadway's “Dogfight” and the tour of “Rent” with Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp. Rose made her Long Wharf Theatre debut in 2007 in Craig Lucas' “Prayer for My Enemy.” On Broadway she played Glinda in “Wicked” and toured as Clara in “The Light in the Piazza.”
