A bunch of new state laws took effect this week that cover everything from
medical marijuana to massage parlors. How many laws were passed this year,
you might ask?
More than two hundred, and that's just this one year and you know what? Two hundred laws
passed is typical. That means that since I settled down here in my cabin by
the waterfall 32 years ago, there have been more than 6,000 state laws

law to start a race car before noon on Sunday? And speaking of Sunday, In
Hartford, it's against the law for a man to kiss his wife on Sunday.
Silly String is against the law in Southington.
Hey, in Utah it's against the law to swear in front of a dead person. In
Kentucky, everyone is required to take a bath at least once a year. I've
been to Kentucky. That's a good, good law.
