After over a year exploring the Upper Peninsula, Kelly is excited to experience all the "lower half" has to offer.  She joins the FOX17 news team as a Reporter.  Originally from Lake Forest, Illinois, Kelly was most recently a reporter and anchor at WLUC-TV6 in Marquette, Michigan.  During her time at TV6 she covered President Obama's trip to Marquette where he praised the Upper Peninsula's WiMax network as a modern day transcontinental railroad.   She also covered Governor Rick Snyder on the campaign trail as well as U.S. Congressman, Bart Stupak's formal announcement that he would not be seeking reelection after 18 years of service.
Kelly attended Miami University and graduated from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana with a degree in Media Studies. During her college career she danced competitively as a member of both the Miami Dance Team and the Illini Dance Team.  She got her start in journalism writing for the Daily Illini as well as interning at WCCU TV/Fox 27 Illinois and WCIA 3 News, both of Champaign.
In addition to reporting she loves keeping up with politics, traveling, meeting new people, staying active, dancing, and she’s a terrible cook but loves to eat.
