Collin Schlosser and his Forest Hills Central football team have won consecutive OK Black conference titles and qualified for the playoffs in both seasons as well. The going gets a lot tougher this season as the Rangers move to the loaded OK White conference.
"It's just motivation to work harder in the off season and work harder on the field, we're excited," Schlosser said.
This season new coach Tim Rogers has moved his team leader to the offensive line to play guard.
"He's a leader on both sides of the football, he is a very capable offensive guard which we will need him at," Rogers said.
Schlosser is just excited to help his team any way he can.
"My dad played offensive line at Michigan State and I am pretty excited to get a tremendous role on the offensive line," Schlosser said.
Rogers was hired in June, which means there was not a lot of time to adjust to a new style, but the Rangers are confident they will be just fine this season.
FHC opens the season against defending state champion Zeeland West at Zeeland Stadium, they also play Holland, East Kentwood and Zeeland East in non-conference play before beginning the very difficult OK white slate.
The September 21st game against East Grand Rapids will be played at Fifth Third Ballpark, home of the West Michigan Whitecaps.
