When Caledonia won the state championship back in 2005, they were led by a great defense.  This season, the Fighting Scots have won their first 4 games and the defense is allowing less than 10 points per game.  Some have even drawn comparisons to that defense from 7 years ago.

Tonight, Caledonia (4-0) faces the best offense that it has played this season.  In fact, it will likely be the best offense they will play all year.  The Eagles are averaging over 43 points per game this season and scored 56 in the first half against Hudsonville last week.

Christian (3-1) is led by their talented wide receiver, Michigan State commit Drake Harris and senior quarterback Alex Van De Vusse.  The two connected seven time for 154 yards and 2 touchdowns last week and they didn't even play in the second half.

Friday's game is the OK White conference opener for both schools and very important when you consider that both schools are yet to play Lowell, Forest Hills Central and East Grand Rapids in a grueling conference slate.

Caledonia at Grand Rapids Christian is FOX 17's game of the week.  Check out the Blitz for in depth highlights reaction and analysis tongiht at 10:30 PM.  East Grand Rapids plays Forest Hills Central at Fifth Third Ballpark tonight and that is our Blitz Battle.  The other White game tonight has Lowell playing at Jension.
