Hiccup, Toothless and the Vikings of Berk are back in “How to Train Your Dragon 2.”
Five years have passed since Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) and Toothless began their adorable friendship. There is peace among Vikings and dragons and the villagers of Berk have their own pet dragon. The dragons help with day to day work, and the villagers have even invented a fun new game called Dragon Racing.
Not participating in the races are Hiccup and Toothless. The two spend their time exploring the surrounding lands of Berk adding to their ever growing map and searching for new dragons.
However, the rest of the world is not as friendly or open minded as Berk. Hiccup, Toothless and the gang eventually run into some tough dragon trappers like Eret son of Eret (Kit Harington) as well as one scary Viking named Drago Bludvist (Djimon Hounsou).
But bad guys aren’t the only people out there. Hiccup soon discovers a missing part of his life he thought he’d never see again, his mother Valka (Cate Blanchett).
The characters we grew to love in the first film have matured not only in looks but in personalities. Astrid (America Ferrera) is still the tough, empowering Viking, but Hiccup isn’t intimidated by her anymore. The two have moved well past the butterfly stage of their relationship and are more comfortable with each other.
