Funnyman Will Ferrell began his career in comedy with the Los Angeles comedy group The Groundlings, which led to his SNL discovery.

In 2003, Ferrell gained movie stardom with the release of his hit holiday comedy, "Elf." He also starred in a slew of other popular comedies, including "Old School," "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" and "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby."

Ferrell changed pace when he starred opposite Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson in the 2006 drama "Stranger Than Fiction," which earned him a Golden Globe nomination. In the film, Ferrell plays Harold Crick, an IRS worker who continuously hears a narration of the story of his life -- and he doesn't like the ending.

Ferrell returns to film this summer in the adventure comedy "Land of the Lost," a big-screen remake of the 1970s TV series.
