Writer-comedian Tina Fey was born Elizabeth Stamatina Fey on May 18, 1970. She got her start in comedy at The Second City Chicago Theatre. While at Second City, Fey was scooped up by "Saturday Night Live," where she served as the show's first female head writer, and later, a regular cast member and co-anchor of the Weekend Update segment. During the 2008 presidential campaign, Fey's popularity grew due to her portrayal of Gov. Sarah Palin on "Saturday Night Live." Fey also created her own TV show, NBC's "30 Rock." Her recent movie work includes "Baby Mama" and "Mean Girls." In 2008, Fey was voted The Associated Press' Entertainer of the Year.
