After three weeks of negotiations, the Directors Guild of America and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers said they had reached an agreement on a new TV and film contract. Neither side, however, commented on the terms of the tentative agreement, which is to be presented to the guild's national board at a meeting Saturday. DGA Secretary-Treasurer Michael Apted, Fifth Vice President Thomas Schlamme and National Executive Director Jay Roth led the negotiations for the guild.
