Highlights
The Palace Theater, located in Waterbury, opened its door in January of 1922. The theater was originally intended to be a movie/vaudeville house, but later began accommodating other events, such as contemporary concerts and silent films. The Palace Theater closed its doors in 1987. However, in 2004, thanks to a large financial investment by the State of Connecticut, the theater was able to undergo major restoration, and reopen to the public. It now showcases Broadway shows, comedy acts, musical performances and family entertainment.
