  13. A sneak peek at HBO's 'VEEP'

There's a big launch event tonight in Washington for the Baltimore-made HBO comedy "VEEP," and I do not want to spoil anyone's fun. So, I am going to be purposefully light on details in talking about the three episodes of this brilliant and biting satire that stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Selina Meyer, a former senator struggling to find her footing as vice president of the United States.

  15. From Sun Magazine: First look -- 'VEEP' set visit

It's a cold, gray Friday afternoon in a dark and drafty concrete warehouse at an industrial park in Columbia. Not exactly the setting in which anyone would expect to find glamour, wit or the next big thing in pop culture.

  23. Like/dislike: Ben Brengle, Luckies Tavern general manager

There's rarely a day off in the bar industry and that's just how Ben Brengle likes it. As the general manager at Power Plant Live's Luckies Tavern for the past three years, the 29-year-old Federal Hill resident has seen everything from big national acts such as Cage the Elephant perform on the Luckies stage to having another bar handed to him to manage (Luckies Liquor). "It seems natural to work in the hectic atmosphere," said Brengle. "We are open 105 hours a week and it's 100 miles per hour the entire time. I wouldn't have it any other way." Thankfully, Brengle spared a few moments to chat with b about the best and worst traits in bartenders, strip club food and more.
