WBAL-TV anchorman Rod Daniels is retiring after more than 30 years on Baltimore airwaves, the station announced Friday.
His last broadcast will be the 6 p.m. news on May 22.
"I am grateful to WBAL-TV, and our parent company Hearst Television, for trusting me with carrying the banner of Channel 11 for more than three decades,” Daniels said in a statement from the station.
“I will cherish the time I spent with some amazing co-workers. I would especially like to thank our viewers for their loyalty over the years. Their support is the reason for my success," the 63-year-old newsman added.
