  1. Actor loves 'starchfest'

Larenz Tate has been in Oscar-winning films and critically acclaimed TV shows ("Ray," "Crash," "Rescue Me"), but to his young children, he's just the "blueberry pancake guy." "They have no idea what I do for a living," said the 34-year-old actor, who lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two sons. "They just know that I make the best pancakes." Tate loves to travel with his family and talks about a recent trip to paradise.

  3. Lucy Liu has too many suitors begging 'Marry Me' on Lifetime

    Zap2It
Lucy Liu has made a name for herself playing an assortment of imposing females ranging from the hilariously icy (yet undeniably hot) Ling Woo on "Ally McBeal" to ferocious booty-kicker Alex Munday in the "Charlie's Angels" movies. That may explain why...

  5. Tom Selleck leads family of 'Blue Bloods' on CBS

    Zap2It
Some things are all in the family -- and for one New York clan, that includes being a cop. Emmy winner Tom Selleck anchors a new show by playing a police commissioner in the filmed-on-location CBS drama "Blue Bloods," premiering Friday, Sept. 24. Frank...

  7. Emmys: The six best dramas that probably won't get nominated

    Zap2It
Tuesday we looked at six worthy but unlikely nominees for best comedy series at the Emmys. Now, six long-shot dramas. As I mentioned in the previous post, these aren't necessarily the six shows I would put up for the outstanding drama series award; I'm...

  9. An embarrassment of on-screen riches but so little Emmy gold

Well, it's a good thing I'm not in charge of the Emmys. If I were, this year's telecast would probably be five hours long (and then I'd review it and kvetch about how boring it was). But how could it not be long? In dramas alone there were just so many great performances this season that I feel like the nominee list should be doubled, a few special awards thrown in and an explanation given for why the winners were chosen.

  11. Seven Emmy nods a good fit

It was supposed to be six but it turned out to be seven, and you know what? Seven is better.

It was supposed to be six but it turned out to be seven, and you know what? Seven is better. Earlier this year, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced that it would expand the number of nominees in the best series and acting categories...

  14. TV Gal Is Tuckered Out

    Zap2It.com
Are you as exhausted as I am? I live for this stuff and I'm beginning to wonder if there's such a thing as too much TV. (A blasphemous statement. Let's all pretend like I never said that.) It used to be that summer was a time to rest and rejuvenate....
