Now Republicans actually have to govern

For the past six years, the Republican-dominated Congress has spent all its political capital in attempting to block every piece of legislation that has been proposed by President Barack Obama rather than proposing solutions to our nation's problems. Now that the Republicans have control of both houses of Congress as well as the presidency, they will be totally responsible for dealing with health care, job creation, tax reform, immigration and more.

Since historically the Republicans have never once implemented a major domestic program comparable to Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid or civil rights legislation, I see no reason to suspect that they will be able to do so in the next...
