Tonight's special entertainment on DWTS was geared toward the tween crowd.
Justin Bieber. Live. Ouch.
As Randy Jackson would say, it was a bit pitchy. And he topped off the whole mess by wearing a shiny, bedazzled purple jacket.
He fared better...

Here we are at the half-way point in the competition. The reward for remaining in contention is participation in DWTS's special Halloween show next week.
One thing's for sure. Frustrations are surfacing and they're being voiced. It makes for an awkward...

Tonight's challenge: Simultaneously watch DWTS and the Ravens on Monday Night Football. Yikes! But challenge accepted.
The action in the ballroom was far more impressive than the action on the ballfield, so that's what we'll focus on here. Had...

"DWTS" showed signs of diversification tonight with a fun performance by a guest krumper. That's standard fare for Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance?" (love that show!) but not what I'm used to on a ballroom show.
Another guest performer, Kelly Clarkson,...

We've finally reached the semi-finals -- leaving just four couples in the competition.
Contestants had a tall order to fill tonight with three dances apiece: two individual dances (including an Argentine tango that this week allowed lifts), and a group...

TOM BERGERON! It's so great to see you again! Oh, hi, Brooke, you're there too.
Introductions: Notable for Gavin's fedora, Maks' open shirt and Martina looking more glam than I could have ever imagined. And now they tell us no elimination this week,...

Tom's intro reminds us that last week it was "Wagner who got jacked." They tell us that it's "Rock Week" and the reanimated corpses of KISS are on the ballroom floor to get us pumped up with "Rock and Roll All Nite" - "Nite" is their spelling not mine. ...

Welcome to Week 2! Given that all the dancers last week were either good dancers or good sports or both, I'm particularly happy this is a season that didn't have a week 1 elimination. I'm looking forward to seeing everybody dance again.
Brooke's dress is...

We're at the finale already (didn't this season seem short?). I'll say it right here at the top of the episode — unless William falls repeatedly on his keister, requiring the judges to give him 5's across the board, there's no way he's not winning...

This week's assignment: Think of your most intense life experience. Now, dance it out.
This particular week on the show ends up dredging up some heart-wrenching stories, making it difficult to judge because of the mixing of emotions and technique....

Apparently, the ballroom was "shellshocked" by last week's bottom two. The ballroom needs to toughen up. Tonight is Latin night. I hope that doesn't mean every other dance is a rumba — booooorrrrring. We start with Carlos Santana performing "Evil...

It's classical night, which means a whole lot of songs I'll recognize but not know the name of. Oh, look, it's an exaggeratedly expressive violinist and some chicks in Marie Antoinette garb. Never change, DWTS, never change. DUDES IN BREECHES AND...
