James Bernard "Bernie" Dayhoof Jr., former owner of a Harford County home improvement business, died Oct. 25 of cardiac arrest at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air.
The lifelong Bel Air resident was 70.
James Bernard Dayhoof Jr. was born and raised in Bel Air, where he graduated in 1958 from Bel Air High School.
After serving in the Navy for several years, he worked at Black & Decker Corp. and Corbin Fuel Co. as an oil burner repairman.
Mr. Dayhoof learned the home improvement business while working for Richard Edwards Contracting Co.
