  1. Q&A: Fatboy Slim

Before America embraced Skrillex, Swedish House Mafia and David Guetta, there was Norman Cook, aka Fatboy Slim, the 48-year-old British DJ and producer who won over fans with quirky music videos (who could forget Christopher Walken prancing around an empty hotel in 2001's "Weapon of Choice"?) and big-beat dance music.

  5. Dope Body and puppet show Showbeast collaborate on new music video

Here's a tip to everyone making music videos: involve puppets*. Somehow. Sock puppets even. If the new Muppets movie taught us anything - and it taught us a lot -&nbsp; is that puppets can improve even Jason Segel vehicles. Puppets could make <a href=&quot;twisted%20Baltimore%20puppet%20online%20series" target="_self">Skrillex music videos</a> passable.

  9. Grammys 2012: Stay home if you're not Adele

Welcome to the Adele show. Just as she dominated radio this past year, Adele will likely walk away with a handful of shiny gramophones on Sunday night (8 p.m., WJZ/CBS). But this is show business - there are no guarantees (except that host LL Cool J will make us cringe at least 12 times). There will be performances, of course - Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, Nicki Minaj and even Adele, taking a stage for the first time since vocal cord surgery. And then there are the awards. Check out our breakdown of the four major categories, including predictions on who should and will win.

  11. Dubstep's mainstream takeover

At the 2:17 mark of Britney Spears' 2011 hit single "Hold It Against Me," dubstep entered the mainstream. It had been bubbling around pop's surface before Spears put her glossy touch on it, but this was Top 40's most blatant — and effective —...

  13. Grammy nominations: Put your money on Adele

Voicing disappointment over Grammy nominations is similar to complaining to your friends at recess that your 70-year-old teacher just &quot;doesn't get it." In other words, it's pointless, other than feeling slightly better that you made the injustice known to people who can't do a thing about it.

  17. July 18 - 23 reviewed: Michael Lohan, Dew Tour, Marquee Lounge

    The Baltimore Sun
The week ended and Michael Lohan still doesn't have a place for his party. Boo hoo. His much promoted party was so toxic it was canceled within hours of its announcement on this blog. In other news, the Dew Tour is expected to draw over 50,000 people to...

  19. The IDentity Festival's forward-thinking dance music hits Jiffy Lube Live

Let's first get this out of the way: I'm no dance-music expert. My appreciation is genuine but would be considered cursory by DFA-heads: I've seen an A-Trak set, love LCD Soundsystem and know how to hit a dance floor without making a complete fool out of myself. (Friends might question that last tidbit.) But when I saw the<strong> <a href=&quot;http://idfestival.com/city/bristow/" target="_blank">IDentity Festival</a></strong>, a celebration of forward-thinking electronic music, was today at Jiffy Lube Live, I had to blog about it.

  21. Review: Porter Robinson at Virgin Mobile FreeFest 2011

The mouse ears. The neon-colored T-shirts with the mouse silhouettes. The girls in hyper-small costumes sucking lollipops. Dancers banging their heads with their arms in the air making out like it was a rave.

  23. Starscape returns for 13th year

Artscape, Whartscape, Scapescape — there's been so many -scapes lately, it's hard to keep track. But it's almost impossible confuse any them with Starscape, the overnight electronic and dance music festival that's now in its 13th year....
