    <span style="font-size: small;">Multiple Grammy Award-winning producer Phil Ramone died Saturday at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. He was 79. His son Matt confirmed his father was hospitalized in late February with an aortic aneurysm. Ramone won 14 Grammys and worked with a wide range of artists over his 50 years in the music business, including Ray Charles, Paul Simon, Chicago,Frank Sinatra, Bob Dylan, Billy Joel, Barbra Streisand, The Band, Donny Hathaway, Rod Stewart, Tony Bennett, Kenny Loggins, Barry Manilow, Dionne Warwick, Luciano Pavarotti and Phoebe Snow, among countless others. Ramone&rsquo;s work on Charles&rsquo; Genius Loves Company, Joel&rsquo;s 52nd Street and Simon&rsquo;s Still Crazy After All These Years helped those collections capture Grammys for Album of the Year. Ramone came to the United States from his native South Africa at the age of 10 to study violin at Julliard. At 18, he opened A&amp;R Recording Studios in New York City.</span>

    <span style="font-size: small;">The time is almost right for the release of the first all-new rock record from Rod Stewart in almost two decades. Time will be available on May 7 and according to a video trailer for the record will feature a dozen tunes (11 written and produced by Stewart), including &ldquo;Can&rsquo;t Stop Me Now,&rdquo; &ldquo;She Makes Me Happy,&rdquo; &ldquo;Sexual Religion,&rdquo; &ldquo;It&rsquo;s Over,&rdquo; &ldquo;Brighton Beach,&rdquo; &ldquo;Finest Woman,&rdquo; and &ldquo;Beautiful Morning.&rdquo; The record&rsquo;s first single, &ldquo;She Makes Me Happy,&rdquo; is available now, and &ldquo;Finest Woman&rdquo; will premiere on April 8.</span>

    <span style="font-size: small;">Two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Rod Stewart will finally go back to his rock and roll roots with the release of his next album, Time, due May 7. Stewart previewed tracks off his forthcoming album (his first all-new rock record since 2001) for a group of industry folks. Back in October, he told Billboard, &ldquo;Just a good, old-fashioned Rod Stewart album (with) a lot of mandolin and acoustic (guitar) and fiddles and good storytelling&hellip;&rdquo; Stewart added that the subject matter onTime is generally &ldquo;a little more adult now.&rdquo; There&rsquo;s no &lsquo;Hot Legs.&rsquo; But they&rsquo;re, I think, songs people can relate to.&rdquo;</span>
