  4. River City Extension Plays a Free Show at Mohegan Sun Wolf Den on Feb. 28

    The eight-piece New Folk combination River City Extension are set to play Mohegan Sun's Wolf Den. The New Jersey band, which has played festivals ranging from South By Southwest to Connecticut's own upstart B.O.M.B. Fest, and toured in support of alt-rockers of all stripes, are playing on the heels of last year's album <em>Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Your Anger</em>. The LP, River City Extension's second full-length, won praise from <em>AbsolutePunk</em>, which noted that the band's "supersized approach to indie-folk/bluegrass" makes for "a truly organic record." <strong><em></em></strong>
