O'Malley takes ice-bucket challenge in Ocean City
Gov. Martin O'Malley took on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge from the balcony of a hotel overlooking the beach in Ocean City, where his family is on vacation.
The video posted Friday on Facebook shows O'Malley sitting outdoors with his youngest son. The Maryland governor, who was challenged to the task by Vincent Sheehan, Chris Van Hollen and Lauren Cook, says he is also making a donation in memory of a dear friend.
O'Malley nominated political cohorts Elijah Cummings and Steny Hoyer along with Irish author Colum McCann to do their own ice bucket challenges.
