Festival of Trees

Organizers bill it as “the East Coast’s largest holiday extravaganza,” and we’re not going to quibble. Hundreds of beautifully (sometimes gaudily, but that’s part of the charm) decorated Christmas trees, wreaths and gingerbread houses, which you are welcome to gawk at or, if you’re not much of a do-it-yourselfer, buy. Plus live music, dance and other entertainments, along with a resident Santa Claus (of course) and all manner of gift possibilities. 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. next Sunday at the Maryland State Fairgrounds, 2200 York Road in Timonium. $7-$15. festivaloftrees.kennedykrieger.org.
