Columbia man receives 120-year prison sentence in October carjackings, kidnappings

A Columbia man was sentenced to 120 years in prison Monday following his conviction of multiple carjackings and kidnappings in Columbia last October.

Retired Howard County Circuit Court Judge Raymond J. Kane sentenced Ledell Maxwell Padmore, 39, to four consecutive 30-year terms. Howard County State's Attorney's Office spokesman Wayne Kirwan said Padmore's district public defender, Alfred Guillaume III, advised that they will appeal the ruling.

Guillaume could not be immediately reached for comment.
