Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band opened up the Grammy telecast with a rousing rendition of "We Take Care of Our Own." The Grammys were planned out long before Whitney Houston's untimely death, but the peppy anthem seemed slightly out of place to kick things off, especially after Bruce attempted to rouse the crowd with "America, are you alive out there?" |
