7. 'Riseup Paranormal' at The Palace Theatre in Stamford on Oct. 26

Stamford's Palace Theatre was originally built in 1893, was gutted by fire and rebuilt, closed down and reopened again, a plight similar to that of many grand old theaters across the country. The Three Stooges, Lucille Ball, Jimmy Dorsey and a slew of other entertainers of the early 20th century all performed there. In it's long, colorful history some strange phenomena has been documented. Whistling noises where there should be none; seats going up and down without anyone going near them; shadows moving around where there should be no shadows. Staff members think it may be former owner Mary Vuono whose spirit still roams the aisles (she died in an apartment above the theater). Riseup Paranormal is inviting 40 participants along for a four-hour interactive paranormal investigation of the theater in search of evidence of the haunting. Happy Halloween, y'all.
