13. Billy Currington On Touring With Superstars

Billy Currington is traveling the country on Kenny Chesney’s record-breaking Goin’ Coastal tour this summer. In the midst of his busy schedule, he has been following the resurging popularity of his “Party for Two” duet partner Shania Twain. “My only thought is every time I hear her name I’m like, ‘I hope she goes on a big tour and I can go with her!’ (laughs) I always think that. Surely, you know, with a duet together, she’s gonna think of me when she needs an opening act. Between her or Garth Brooks…it’d be the two I’d really like to go out with.” Although Billy has dreams of touring with the two country superstars, he hopes to move on from opening for other artists going forward and work toward his own headlining tour. He’s also looking forward to heading back into the studio at the end of this year.
