From the blog Michael Sragow Gets Reel: The Rotunda Cinemas have quietly opened a third theater. When I went to see "The American" at the Rotunda roughly a month ago, the ticket-taker showed off a nearly completed new theater adjacent to the twin cinemas. It looked as bright, neat and comfortable as the rest of the operation. And it is now open for business. Ira Miller (above), the Rotunda's owner, managing partner, and film buyer, has opted for a "soft opening" -- no official announcements or celebrations, just yet -- presumably to work out kinks or to wait for an ideal slate to introduce his expanded complex to the public.
