  1. 'Paul' is not exactly a heaven-sent comedy

For a lightweight comedy about two unconventional dudes sheltering a fugitive space alien, <strong>"Paul"</strong> sure comes weighted down with conventional movie "values."
For a lightweight comedy about two unconventional dudes sheltering a fugitive space alien, "Paul" sure comes weighted down with conventional movie "values." We all know the list by now: It's better to be socially inept and unkempt than neat and...

  5. 'Horrible Bosses' makes for funny laughs

    &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; "Horrible Bosses" is so far the funniest R-rated comedy in a year crowded (some would say overcrowded) with R-rated comedies.&nbsp; Already this year we've had "Bad Teacher", "Bridesmaids", "Hall Pass", "The Hangover Part 2", "Paul", and "Your Highness".&nbsp; "Horrible Bosses" tops them all.&nbsp; It isn't a film I would recommend to people who hate raunchy comedy (one of the characters even has an unprintable name), but if you're its target audience, you're in for a good time. &nbsp;

  7. Midtown Exorcist Is A 'Soul Clearer'

In the middle of Manhattan, within the walls of The Hypnosis Center on 36th Street, a man's profession is with the paranormal.

  9. 'Paul'

The animated extraterrestrial here isn't too family-friendly ... thanks to writers and co-stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, whose edgy satires also include "Shaun of the Dead" and "Hot Fuzz." They play a couple of British visitors to America who cross paths with the title alien (voice of Seth Rogen), an Area 51 refugee who's sort of the otherworldly version of a slacker.

  11. Simon Pegg will always be a fanboy at heart

Simon Pegg is as close as you can get to a real-life geek superhero; his special powers include a real affection for Comic-Con culture and stepping into that imaginary world. As a boy, Pegg was swept away by his geek loves: live theater and the fantastical worlds of "Star Wars," "Doctor Who," "Jason and the Argonauts" and "Star Trek." He now lives the impossible dreams of his youth, acting for Steven Spielberg and stepping onto the deck of the Starship Enterprise as Scotty in J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek" reboot.

  15. Review: 'Paul' really is a foreign being--a Simon Pegg/Nick Frost movie that's not very funny

    <strong>**1/2 (out of four)</strong>
    RedEye movie critic
**1/2 (out of four) British comic book geeks Graeme (Simon Pegg) and Clive (Nick Frost) just came to the U.S. to go on a road trip touring UFO hotspots. They didn’t expect to pick up Paul, a laid-back, Seth Rogen-esque alien (conveniently voiced...

  17. Q&A: Simon Pegg and Nick Frost of 'Paul' may soon need to put their on-screen bromance to rest

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost may not be as geeky as their sci-fi-loving characters in their new film, &ldquo;Paul,&rdquo; but they can relate to their especially close relationship.

  19. 'Paul': 'E.T.' it is not

You know that move you do with your hand when you're unimpressed with something?&nbsp; The one where you stick your palm down, you either lay it flat or cup it slightly, and you tilt it from side to side? Perhaps no film has ever made me want to do that move more than "Paul."

  21. Kristen Wiig, so weird on 'SNL,' goes (somewhat) normal for 'Bridesmaids'

Kristen Wiig has just come off an average Saturday night, one that required her to wear a 2-foot-high wig, shuffle lethargically around a stripper pole and bury her face in Helen Mirren's cleavage.
