Blue anole

A blue anole (Anolis gorgonae), a highly threatened lizard that is found only on the island of Gorgona, about 50 km off the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO00000134" title="Colombia" href="/topic/international/colombia-PLGEO00000134.topic">Colombian</a> Pacific coast and part of the municipality of Guapi, in the department of Cauca, Colombia. The island functioned as a prison until 1985 when it became a National Natural Reservation turning into an ecological paradise and an ideal place for observing the whales called "humpback"
